I can't feel my legs...

A co-worker of mine dragged me kicking and screaming to the gym tonight.

She is training for the Sun Run and a marathon(note to self - DO NOT work out with such people) She only started training 6 weeks ago so being the moron that I am I did the same thing she was doing...well until my legs started to feel like they'd disconnect from my body in protest. I lasted 25 of the 36 minutes - then I did speed walking for the rest.

Now I can't feel my legs - I can see them but they are numb. My hind end is screaming in protest too and no amount of stretching has helped.

I do not look forward to tomorrow - I have a feeling that sitting down will nearly send me into cardiac arrest - I may never be able to go to the bathroom again!

Please Note...

Other drivers in your cars - the windows of your car are glass - clear glass. Therefore when you ram your finger up your nose - I can see you!

Please refrain from picking, flicking and the eating of your boogers when in the car!

Barking Mad

Last night we went for dinner at one of Ry's co-workers. I ate WAY WAY WAY too much. After being such a health nut for the last little bit my poor tummy was in shock.

On the drive home I felt so gross - I actually wanted to throw up. As gross as throwing up is - it seemed like a good idea but I didn't actually do it.

We got home - and I brushed my teeth while clutching onto the counter - wanting to die. Ry commented that I really did look awful(thanks hon). Got into bed an found a comfortable position and did manage to fall asleep.

"arrf arrrrr arrrrff" something jars me awake. My heart is pounding as I try and figure out what scared me so bad. Whack comes an arm over at me. Ry is obviously having some weird dream barking like a dog and swinging limbs. I duck as the arm comes by again. I kick him and tell him to knock it off. My heart rate slowly returns to normal. I am stating to drift off when "arrf arrrrr arrrrff" Ry is barking in my face again. Scares the living daylights out of me. Of course now I am awake and have to pee so off I trudge to the loo. Back in bed I try and relax and I am just about asleep when "arrf arrrrr arrrrff" Ry the psycho dog is back. I give him a boot and a punch and tell him to knock it off. Then I begin the process of flip flopping in bed - waiting for the wonder mutt to start again and mad as stink that I am feeling gross and he is hogging the bed and barking in my face.

I did manage to get back to sleep but I was a bit grouchy this morning ;-)

Just got a call - sounds like J-man just did a #2 in tub again - gross - Lyyyyysol!

I've lost that loving feeling...

I've lost the desire to blog this week - Last night I got home too late from Lisa's and didn't want to stay up even later. I haven't even really been reading many this week. After three months of blogging almost daily - I may have run out of things to write. Shocking I know mom! Hopefully it is just the January blahs and I'll get my butt I gear again next week.

The Scale

I hate scales. They can either make you blissfully happy or majorly depressed.

This morning I got on the scale. Why oh why do I torture myself so??? Monday's is my usual weigh in day. But I thought what the hey - I'll jump on this morning.

The little dial swings back and forth. Will it crush me like a bug or make me sing an dance across the bathroom.

Bam it lands on a number - I peek down. Ahhhhhhh what the ?????? How can it read 156 - on Monday I was 148. How could I have gained back the 4 pounds I have lost and then gained 4 additional pounds.

I rip the head band off my head in hopes that, that had been the heavy factor. Nope nothing changes. True I had a cinnamon dolce latte yesterday, and a tiny square at Lisa's but 8 pounds! Come on!!!

I step off the scale and back on several more times - just to make sure. Nuts - still the same every time. I am deeply perplexed at this point and get back on again - I am not sure what I thought I was going to achieve by hoping on and off but I was in a complete state.

At last I glanced down at the number - willing it to change when I notice that it isn't above the 150 mark but below - I haven't seen under 150 in awhile so I had misread the scale. I was jumping for joy(literally) I got back on several more time - 146 each time.

Yes I know you are all in shock that I actually put my weight on here - but it is just a number. I am more interested in general health but it is still nice to see the numbers decreasing rather than increasing!

Ry need the computer now so I have to get off but tomorrow I'll tell you all about You:On a Diet - great book!

Quick post

Sorry - tonight I got nothing for you. The computer went nuts - black screen with flashing white line. So after spending sometime on the phone with Dell - we are back up and running with orders to scan this puppy with every available software and find out what made it go insane! All day I have been having problems on this computer and then blogger was down too - so the world is against me blogging tonight. See you tomorrow.

Apparently my forehead says...

Here take my money!!

My ring is going to cost me a rather substantial sum to have fixed as the claws need to be redone (why do I have so many diamonds!). I also elected to have my weeding band resized as post J-man my finger is a little bigger and my ring is uncomfortable 6 months out of the year. Of course since the band is two tone it cost big bucks. There goes my year end bonus.

Then Ry's car has been shaking like crazy so last night he jacked it up and looky looky - the tire had separated(or something funny that only men can understand) The gist of the problem - it was no longer round - more bumpy and egg shaped. Not so good for freeway commuting. So off he went this morning to buy new tires. They only had 2 in stock so we have to go back in to get the other two soon. All four were needing to be replaced - but I was hoping late spring/early summer. My car will also need new tire(summer/fall). Both cars also need a tune up and who knows what that will bring!!

January is not the month to have huge expenses. The coffers are empty. So if anyone has a money tree growing in their backyard - I'd love a bit.

In J-man news - when I picked him up from daycare - I was told he was a little hellion all day. Kicking and throwing fits. Great! My child has gone from sweet baby in crazy toddler. Please tell me this stage will pass quickly!!

Ladies and Gentlman

We have now officially had our first poop in the tub - no not me! J-man has just given us this special treat. Must run and disinfect the whole room!!!

My child is making me crazy

Ever had a day when your kid makes you nuts???

J-man is driving me nuts today. I love him dearly but if the whining doesn't stop I am going to be in a Psych ward (maybe Running Wildly could be my nurse). He had a meltdown for 45 minutes - straight crying - no matter what I did. And this was after being whiny all day.

Part of my problem is I'm still feeling a little sick - and we've been stuck inside because of the rain and being sick for too many days in a row. I will be happy to head off to work tomorrow and then pick him up refreshed and sane! Ry came home and jokingly said "So you thought about being a stay at home mom?" I ran screaming from the room. I would go insane. I love the creativity and the thrill of work(even when work pisses me off). Work is a place where I can be me as me not me as a mom. Some are cut out to stay home and some of us aren't. Me - not cut to be home all the time.

Anyway - here's a little video of J-man from last night being his impish self.

Birthday Present?

So what did my hubby buy with his birthday money? A programmable thermostat. Yup you read that right! Of course I shouldn't be surprised as he asked for an iron when he turned 21. Always wanting useful things. Me, I would have blow it on something for me - and only me. Like a new pair of shoes.

He also got himself a polish/wax buffer thing that spins like crazy and makes a good racket. So he has just gotten himself hooked into washing the cars next weekend. One more reason I just don't understand the gender - presents that make work! Of course if someone got me a Kitchen aid mixer I'd be happy - more because it would look cool on my counter than because I was going to start baking ;-)

Weeeeeeeeeee

I think I have been drugged up for too many days now as it is starting to effect my sense of balance. I dumped my cinnamon dolce late in my car today, dropped the hairspray, just about fell down the stairs, nearly wiped out in Costco and the mall and yet I am still alive. Still feel like something the cat dragged in - but I had to get out of the house today or else I would go crazy. Tonight I will start the blog rounds - when you miss a few days it takes at least an hour to catch up and comment.

A funny J-man story for you,

Last night we are eating dinner(white spot triple 0's), Ry lets out a huge burp(very manly eh?) J-man laughs(such a typical man) and then scrunches up hid face as say"uuuurp" then giggles. We looked over in surprise - Ry tries again(oh how manners degenerate quickly) nice burp from Ry followed by a fake burp by J-man. It was so funny to see him scrunch up his face and try and figure out how to burp. How did I end up the mother of a boy??? I am in over my head here! In 25 years he'll be the next Mike Myers/Jim Carrey/Will Farrell -could I be any more proud?

Too sick to blog!

I feel like I've been hit by a bus, then trampled by a herd of elephants and finally kicked several times by a horse.

Everything hurts - I am drugged up right now - which is the only reason I can even make it to the computer. I need to clean up the house as it looks like bomb hit it - more like J-man running free all day while I moan in pain on the couch.

My fellow blogger friends I have been trying to read today but my eyes just won't cooperate. So I haven't left you comments but I will try to sometime this weekend - hopefully when the sumo wrestler stops sitting on my sinuses.

Sniffle sniffle achoooooooo

Birthday Police

I am a birthday cop - I love birthdays. I try to remember this important day. After all - it is the day you were born - the day you graced the world. I think it should be celebrated. What other day can you basically get your way - and everyone is happy about it!!

So I get rather peeved when people don't remember. In fact I think it is down right rude to not call a friend/family member the week of their birthday.

But today I violated my own law! I forgot my hubby's birthday! Last year was the big 3-0 so this year we haven't really planned anything. I have also been so busy at work I haven't had time. We ended up going for dinner tonight - with J-man in tow - who only threw a minor fit. I feel rather bad - of course he rubbed it in my face until I reminded him that he usually forgets my birthday. Not completely but he usually gets me a card the day before - because I have reminded him to! And the day of I usually say "so-n-so called to say Happy birthday to me and blah blah blah" to which I hear a gasp and a quick"happy birthday"

Still I have broken my own law - sorry Ry - love you and happy birthday.

New Day New Me???

Sadly no - still cranky but the computer has been delivered from evil and is now working - at least most of the time.

Where is the snow? Just a light dusting - gross this morning but by afternoon - soggy wet west coast slop! I went to work and Ry stayed home and worked. He and J-man took a little trip out into the back yard for J-man's first snow playtime - as you can see he was NOT impressed. The kid hates jackets or anything that restricts movement. He is also psychotic right now - whining nonstop - which is another reason I was glad to go to work - not having to listen to it (bad mummy!) I think the poor guy is teething - bad eating, bad napping and generally mad at the world.
As to my mom trying to burn her house down??? I love my mom - she is a great cook but occasionally she forgets details - like the fact that she put rice on the stove. In an effort to be healthy we're all trying to eat brown stuff(brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta - you get the drift) Anyway my mom decided to cook it in the afternoon on her day off - as brown rice take 50 minutes. Well as would only happen to her - the phone rang and being the chatty people we are she got talking.

I can just see her expression as the smoke wafted down from the kitchen into the office - I can also just see her sprinting down the hall in near hysterics to find a kitchen full of black smoke so thick you couldn't see across the room.

I get a phone call last night from my rather sheepish mother asking if I knew how to get the stink out of her house - as her and my dad were stuck inside with the putrid smell. So if you have any ideas - let me know and I'll pass them on.

I hate Computers

My computer is doing some weird things tonight - and in my sugar deprived state that is not good.
I threatened to hit it with a hammer and Ry dragged me kicking and screaming from the room. I think the computer gremlins have gotten a hold of it and it is making me VERY cranky.

Does the world know that I am without my crutch of sugar and emotional eating??? Between J-man and this computer I am close to going over the edge today.

I really want to throw a tantrum - J-man style - flopping on the floor - banging my head into the floor, screaming, crying and carrying on like it its the end of the world. Darn being an adult is dumb sometimes.

It is suppose to snow tonight - I have the 'snow' headache to prove it. Arrr I am too irritable to even write anything but complaints - my apologies - tomorrow I will be better. Tomorrow I will entertain you with stories of my mom trying to burn her house down, or my new eating plan, or J-man teething horror. Tomrrow I promise!

Tried a new church

Today we made a repeat visit to the same church we attended last week. We really like it. They have an orientation meeting coming up in a few weeks and we may go to that to see what's up in church land. They also have a bunch of Small Groups starting - or continuing - anyway we may try out some of those.

We really want to get a local church - and stop all this crazy driving!! Some family friend's of Ry's go to this church so we've met up with them each Sunday. J-man had fun in nursery and that was a huge relief. The worship is amazing - and coming from a church where Brian Doerksen is the leader - that is saying something. I also really like the pastor and his wife - they've preached together the last two Sunday's which was neat. I like seeing the leadership of the church being by both people in a married couple.

My tooth is bugging me tonight so I may go take some meds for it - they make me so dumb though so I resist - no win. Either pain and alert or less pain and groggy/fuzzy. Tomorrow my friend Jane is coming to clean(she does it as a business). I am so excited that I don't have to clean - I am tidying up surfaces so she can clean clean clean tomorrow. I am no longer feeling bad about hiring someone - I have to work 4 days this week - when would I have the time to clean???

I have been trying to not eat white flour or white sugar - and right now I want a big bowl of candy! Or even a nice slab of white bread! Anything that isn't brown(unless it was coke!) I shall prevail - I'll post more about my success(or lack thereof) tomorrow. Lastly(although it is probably over now) it was official delurk week - so delurk delurk delurk! I won't bite and I love new blogs (feeds my addiction)

Sleeping like an old fart

Maybe it is just age but I am becoming rather particular about the way I sleep.

First - my pj bottoms must be tucked into my sleeping sock - and yes there are particular socks that I sleep with - not just any pair will do. Then my pj top has to be tucked in too! I hate shirts that ride up at night. Lastly my fleece throw must be tucked all around me - then the duvet and sheets can be brought up.

I am one hot mama!! Luckily Ry is usually half asleep before I even finish brushing my teeth so he doesn't have to view this rather scary spectacle.

Then my pillow has to be just right - and that is just by feel. Now if only I could prevent Ry from rolling over and breathing in my face I'd be perfectly happy ;-)

Trying to look busy

I can hear Ry talking to J-man about his rather loaded diaper - that is my cue to look super busy on the computer.

If you remember we're having J-man assessed for being a bit behind (he still doesn't walk or talk in anyway that is understandable). I heard from the Infant Development Unit already. When I dropped off J-man's assessment they said I'd hear from them in 2 -8 weeks. Well they are either really slow or really concerned because within 24 hours I got a call. Of course I've since been playing phone tag with them. I'll keep you updated

No word on my Grandpa yet - aside from the fact that he still hasn't been admitted to a ward - just hanging out in emergency (don't even get me started on the state of health care!) My parents are going to visit tomorrow and find out what is going on.

Today work was crazy - I can't wait till spring and we're hopefully well staffed (who am I kidding) . After my review I'll see what I want to do - as I really like my branch and company but lately it has been a bit much and the slogan at work is "$^&# rolls down hill" and I am at the bottom! Of course they just decided to give us our birthday and our spouses birthday off with pay (SWEET!) Obviously they are shooting for a top 5 for next year's top 100 companies.

Anyway not much else going on and the pain meds are kicking in and making me loopy - ttfn.

Still feeling good

I am not in a lot of pain - just the occasional ache. Which was nothing compared to the stress of work today! Come annual review time there are going to be several of us complaining about the lack of staffing and hours. It was crazy today - and I ended up staying late to help cash desk balance. It's 7:20 and we just finished dinner - what a day!

Looking for a definition of an Emoticon Ry told me recently that he didn't know how to read them or what they meant. After I picked my jaw up of the floor he told me he'd found this site. I had presumed that my computer savvy hubby would know all about them but nope - completely clueless. Just goes to show you that there can still be some surprises 10 years into a relationship.

All is well

Survived the crown and the shaving of my jaw bone - I love those little pills!! Snoozed most of the afternoon. They gave me some anti- inflammatory drugs but they make me dizzy and tired. Fine when I am at home and Ry is with J-man - not quite sure how it will work tomorrow with being on my own and driving to work. i WON'T BE ABLE TO TAKE ANYTHING OBVIOUSLY BUT dR. SAID i WILL PROBABLY BE IN A BIT OF PAIN SO AGAIN NOT SURE HOW i 'LL WORK WITH THAT! - crap just realized caps was on - too bad I am not going back to retype!

My Grandfather fell and broke his leg in 2 places today - so we're not sure what is going to happen there. Last January he had a heart attack and a stroke (January isn't a good month around here!!)

Anyway I am stoned on drug and can't really think so I'll go - thank you for all the thoughts and prayers - they were appreciated.

Power!!

We lost power sometime this afternoon and it finally came back on a little while ago - hence the rather late post.

It is hard to not have any electricity - ever tried to read by flicking candle light? Perhaps the glow of a cell phone? Not my cell phone mid you as the battery dies after one call(I need a new one but who has the $$$$)

I got home from work and discovered that half of town was in the dark. Parked in the guest spot and used the glow of my cell to find the lock in the front door. I usually go through the garage - i think I have used my front door key two times since we moved in - I didn't even know which key it was(process of elimination at the door - ummmm nope not that one, nope that's the car, nope mail key, mom's house, maybe this one?? Yup!) So after Ry picked up dinner(timmies) we sat around bored out of our tree. I mean what were we suppose to do - talk to each other?????? I sat huddled arounds the fire place trying to keep warm, killing my eyes in an attempt to read.

Tomorrow I have to go to the dentist(provided the forecasted snow doesn't shut down the roads) I have several Adavan(spelling?) to help me through(DENTAL PHOBIC HERE). So I hope it goes okay - I blocked out most of what the dentist said after he mentioned shaving the bone of my jaw blah blah blah - I hope ignorance is bliss. Speaking of dental nightmares - read this - at Happy Chaos.

Spell check isn't working tonight so my apologies - I am a horrible speller. Family of Five - would love to check out your blog - but can't view your profile - where can I find a link(you can email me(see profile page) or just send a comment - I don't have to publish the comment if you want to keep it private.

Back tomorrow with horror stories from the 'chair'

Marcy is coming Home!

Yup - my sister has decided to move back here! I am very happy - of course it isn't for another six months but I can deal with that!

I am feeling a bit better - head is still a little fuzzy but I think I caught it in time! I am still feeling a bit rough - but J-man got his shots today and has been crying for several hours now - so I don't think there is anyway I'd be feeling good right now!

A warning to my friends : if I come to your house I will want to use your bathroom - why? Because it will mean I'll get to pee...alone! J-man is getting rather fascinated with the toilet these days (which is a good thing) but it does mean he likes to try to see what I am doing. There are some things I prefer to do alone - actually I'd settle for just not being the center of attention! Anyway you have been warned!

Okay - enough blog-o-nothing!

I can feel it comin on

My glands are getting swollen right this very minute, my head is starting to feel foggy and lungs hurt.

I don't have time to be sick! I am going to go have some honey and lemon an hope that the lemon zaps all the germs from my body!

My Bling

Today I went to pick up my broken ring. In the words of Russell Peters "somebody's gonna get hurt"

First - I had to wait for awhile - which pissed me off. I am having one of those irrational days(hello hormones) and so many things have not made me very happy today.

Second - once I got someone to help me it took 10 minutes to figure out that my ring was still not in the store. Turns out they "forgot" to write the whereabouts of my ring down in their repair book! So they looked through every item they had and several books before they figured that out.

Third - they gave me a different story about my ring - note to them - if you are going to lie at least remember the story you are telling!! Do I look that stupid to them???

Fourth - my ring still isn't back in the store! Hopefully next week - morons!

Okay I am going to go argue with my hubby(again) ;-)

Friday, January 05, 2007

...and it just keeps comin

I woke this morning thinking it couldn't possibility be as klutz again - wrong! I slammed - and I mean slammed my thumb in my drawer at work. We are talking pain like you've never felt - curse the room blue pain. Yet I was at work so I just gasped and then held my thumb biting my lip(to keep from letting loose a string of words that I am sure my co-workers would be shocked to hear me say).

I quietly walked away from my desk to one in the back and sat down ans then the tears started - and of course I wasn't really crying but my body has this weird thing as when I smash my fingers the tears come. For some reason I have bashed my fingers many times!

One of my co-workers asks me what is wrong. As I am sitting looking ashen and (to anyone who could see me) crying quietly. I manged to find my voice - but it came out as a hysterical laugh. So now I feel really stupid and suddenly it is all funny to me.

So now I am laughing hysterically, clutching my thumb, and crying! I looked mentally deranged. For the rest of the day co-workers were coming up to me"Are you crying?" "Did you get a boo boo?" Just to make fun of me - the stuff I put up with ;-)

And to add insult to injury - I had the hair day from, well, a bad place. The weather didn't help but it was a loss from the start. I'll even post a photo of it - don't I look lovely - gotta love my expression - me trying not to laugh at how bad it is! Enjoy!!

Day of the klutz

Ever had a day when everything you touch breaks or is dropped??

Hello Thursday - I literally almost fell out of bed this morning - I should have taken it as a message from God and got back in and called in sick.

Instead - I banged my leg on a chair, smashed my elbow on the door(twice) dropped all my paper clips, jabbed my finger onto a staple that was logged in the carpet(as I was trying to clean up the paper clips) - and that was all within 10 minutes. Then I posted lots of stuff wrong(so everyone thought I was dumb as dirt today), then I apparently passed it on to J-man as he has fallen or banged into everything tonight(his poor head is covered in goose eggs).

I think I'll hide till this day passes and hope I don't injure myself or anyone else!!!

What not to do when on an airplane

My cousin Kerry is a Flight Attendant and therefore has to put up with some CRAZY stuff. Go check out her blog for how not to behave towards airline staff!

Now repeat with me - I will follow Transport Canada rules, I will not yell or threaten those that are trying to enforce such rules and I will not act like a crazed lunatic over a dog!!

Of course after I type that I realize that tomorrow I may be the one someone blogs about as being the nut case. A few weeks ago my engagement ring broke - after my hand got slammed in a door. So I took it into a jewellery store to have it fixed. Today I called as they have not given me an estimate and I was suppose to have it back by now. I just wanted to come get my broken ring and take it somewhere that 1. would get the job done 2. wouldn't try and tell me there were things that needed to be fixed (like all 12 claws) when in fact they don't.

So I call and surprise surprise they aren't sure where my ring is. Say what? Did I hear you correctly? You have lost my ring - the expensive one with the diamonds? So I got a little annoyed. Finally the girl said to call back tomorrow to speak to her manager. I wasn't mean or harassing I just asked some basic questions like when they thought they'd be able to find my ring!!!!!

This store is the sister store to the one where my ring was purchased and is the store that caused the break when they fixed the bend that occurred from the door slamming issue - which are the only reasons that I went there. After all - none of the staff seems to know a thing about jewelry besides the fact that it is shiny! Anyone can put on a Suzy Sheer power suit and pretend they actually have a clue. this same store once gave a expensive diamond ring to someone posing as the owners husband. They never asked for ID or thought it was weird that the hubby came in so soon after the ring was dropped off! So hopefully I'll get my ring back tomorrow and I can take it to Lee's in Abby and get it fixed. I miss my bling!

Pat Pat

"wahhhhhhhhhhhhh," come the wail from across the room. J-man has managed to hit his head, or knee, or finger on something. Probably because he is trying to destroy the house and the furniture fought back.

I run over like the typical mom to see if there is blood or definite bruising. Yup right on the forehead is a nice big goose egg, courtesy of the coffee table. I scoop my poor crying baby up and whisper soft mommy talk. "You're okay. Did you bang your head? Do you need your blankie?" You get the drift. Meanwhile I absently pat his back.

Suddenly I notice that he is patting my arm/back as he buries his head in my shoulder. Pat, pat pat goes that chubby little baby hand. "It's okay mama, I'm tough," this seems to tell me. I start to giggle as it is so cute. He lifts his head as if to say "what is so funny - I am in pain here!" Then he tilts his head and gives me the eye and we go back to pat pat patting each other.

Sometimes he is so darn cute and funny I think my heart will just burst!

Welcome 2007

New year, new me??? Perhaps

I prefer to think of it as self improvement . So what am I attempting to do this year?

1. Lose 10 lbs - thanks to my thyroid and a rather crappy 2006 I have gained 5 pounds. Nothing fixes depression like Purdy's Chocolates ;-) The reason for the other 5 lbs - see #2. I am going to try following the "You: On a Diet" book by Dr. Roizen and Dr. Oz - if you watch Oprah you'll know who they are. It is all about making healthy choices rather than binge dieting. So goodbye refined sugars hello fruits, veggies and while wheat!

2. Get pregnant - seems simple enough but if history repeats itself this may be a quite the ordeal. I also think losing 5 lbs will make gaining 30+ pounds not so bad ;-) Just for clarification we are not trying right now! So don't bother looking at me with questioning expressions every time you see me!!!

3. Find a new church. We really like the one we've attended for the last 6 months but it is too far of a drive. They also have programs that are better suited for people with older kids not babies. So starting next week we'll begin the yucky task of trying new churches. Not sure where we'll go first but there are a few suggestions we've been given.

4. Get more done around the house - ie. clean up more - I go in spurts of extreme clean but then I work too much or someone gets sick and I fall off the wagon. I have hired a cleaning lady to come do the major stuff - I am not sure if I'll have her come once a month or every other week. Then we'll just run the vacuum and clean the loo once a week. My friend Lady J has a cleaning business so we'll see how I handle having a friend clean my toilets ;-) I do feel a little guilty as I only work part time but hey I work and if I want a cleaning lady I can have one. I suppose the guilt come from not being "supermom" but I've already fallen off that wagon!!

5. Construction - we want to split one of our upstairs bedrooms into an office and bedroom. We have huge bedrooms upstairs at our house so we'd like to split it so Ry can still work from home sometimes and so I can still stamp and sew(little homemaker that I am-LOL). We've already drawn up what we want done(the nice part of having a draftsman hubby) We're going to send the drawing to my brother in law(the carpenter/construction company) for an estimate - moving will cost us $15,000(real estate fees, lawyers, and property transfer tax) so hopefully the renos will only cost between 5,000-10,000. Otherwise we may just sell and move to a bigger house. We'll talk money in the spring with my other brother in law(the mortgage broker).

Okay that wraps up all the self improvement one person can handle - Hope you are all recovering from staying out soooo late ;-)

Don't forget to leave a comment if you are #4000. Last time I looked 3995!!
