Blah Blah Blah
Today - didn't get out of my pj's. Felt tired all day - Ry felt yucky too - so no church, just Nascar and sitting in the new comfy chair.
Ate like a pig all weekend - so scared of the scale tomorrow morning.
Blah blah blah. Hope you had a fun weekend!

Germs
Today I had some lady coughing into her hands then holding my pen, and putting those hands all over the counter. Once she left I grabbed the Lysol and cleaned like there was nuclear contamination.
If I could have sprayed Lysol down my throat - I would have!
Please people - when in public learn proper form for coughing(into the arm@ the elbow), and don't huff your nasty breath at me. And please, please, please don't wipe the germ filled liquids oozing from your body anywhere near my work space.
Rehab - oops she did it again!
Checking in and out of rehab twice within a week is crazy. Click here to read about it.

Would you like fry grease with that?
So this week it was White Spot Triple O's (the drive through ones at Chevron's not the sit down restaurant). Firstly the service there is slower than stink - if it wasn't for the secret sauce I'd never go. But we wanted it so I got off the freeway and got into line. I waited 5 minutes to get to the order speaker. Then I sat there fore another 5 minutes before anyone spoke to me - I though about beeping but decided that would be rude - and there were several people ahead of me and behind - didn't want to annoy them either.
Finally placed my order - she gave me my total - I nearly chocked - $24 for take out - man I could have gone to Earls for that. Anyway I'd placed the order and was stuck in line so I inched forward. Then I waited...and waited...and waited for the car ahead of me to get their food.
Sweet they are leaving - okay I get tot he window - I ask the lady to print out my bill as it seemed a bit high. She read it back to me - it was correct - hmmm those milk shakes for Ry and J-man must be pricey (note for next time - not shakes) Then she tells me it is $26.74 - excuse me - I try to ask her a question but she has disappeared. Ahhh what the heck - I asked for a bill so I can check it int he car and go back in if I need too - I just want my food.
So I wait... and wait...and wait. At last she starts putting food in a bag. "Here's your iced tea," she says
"Ummm I didn't order an iced tea." I tell her.
"Oh really? hmmm...okay," was her witty response.
So the iced tea goes back through the window and I wait...and wait...and wait.
"Here are your three burgers" is the next thing I hear.
"I only ordered two burgers." I calmly reply - I can tell this 16 year old girl is about to lose it so I decide just to be the one nice person in line as I can tell from the expression of the guy behind me that he is not happy with his wait.
"oh...okay." So she reaches in and takes the extra burger out and hands me the bag.
I drive around the building and park - as I doubt they got my order right. Sure enough - J-man's chicken pieces are missing.
So Inside I go. "oh good the lady came back." I hear exclaimed across the counter. "here are your chicken pieces and your other burger."
I almost started to laugh - that darn burger really wanted to come home with me. "The burger isn't mine."
They all look perplexed. "Do you just want it take it anyway?" They ask - I have all three staff now in front of me - who knows how long the people in line had to wait because if me.
"Sure" I say - get me out of here was all I could think. I imagine that is why my bill was so high - they added a extra burger and perhaps the iced tea that I sent back.
The burgers and fries were good - but the chicken pieces were overdone so they were like chicken jerky - poor J-man. He ate a bit then munched on my fries and Ry's burger - followed by 3/4 of his shake.
I have saved the best part of this story for the end(stay with me I know this is a marathon post)
While (trying) to pay for my meal they couldn't get my debit card to work. They swiped fast, they swiped slow, they looked for a bag - but nothing worked. From the back hidden from view a voice pipes up "Just rub some grease from the fryer on the card." Umm no - please don't do that to my card. I am try to tell the girl no - please don't. But nope she is gone and I see her coming back rubbing my card - ewwwwwww there is grease on my card. Can we say contamination of the food source! Gross!!!!!!!!! So they finally get my card to work and then - this is the clincher here - hand me back my card without wiping it off! I gingerly take the card between two fingers and search the glove box for a napkin(mom's are always prepared!) I scrub vigorously and get most of the residue off. I did put it back in my wallet - but come Monday I will order a new card - every time I see it I just shudder.
So there you go - Friday night dinner - any ideas for next week????

Lookin Fine!
Nuts - I am still in my pj's - my hair is contained under a headband and I look HOT HOT HOT!
I rip the head band off - shake the hair to get it to lie a bit flatter, zip up my fleece sweater - and crack the front door open - beep beep beep - forgot to turn off the alarm system "Hold on!" I yell a the man standing there.
Bip bip boop - turn off the alarm. Okay turn back around and walk back to the door - which is slightly ajar - the man is peering through the door at me (probably thinking - yikes!)
He is from BC Hydro - he's come to check the meter problem we reported - he has the smug look of - you are crazy lady but I still have to check this out!
So he pulls the meter out and low and behold - we have been charged for the wrong meter. So now a full investigation has been started and our account frozen(we still get power just no bills!!)
Two minutes later Hydro man leaves and I go back inside - glancing in the mirror - oh do I look good!! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!
So 12 years worth of hydro has to be sorted out - as the meters were recorded wrong in 1994! I smell a rebate cheque coming my way!!!
PS I have started a blog for my Stamping - http://crazystamper.blogspot.com/ so come check it out if you are feeling stampy!! Yes I know - Hello my name is Ej and I am a blog addict!

Feeling Buzzy!
Recently we've had nothing but problems with BC Hydro. Our bills are getting higher and higher and it doesn't seem to matter that we've tried everything to lower our bill. We've been on the phone with them many times - usually to be told (rather rudely) that we must be using more electricity than we thought. Our last bill was more than $300. We live in a 1400 square foot townhouse - that is insane! Our monthly average consumption was 4 times higher!!
So on the phone with them we get - after demanding they check our meter - we were told that for $65 they would come check it. Excuse me????? Finally they said we could do a mini check on our own - turn off the main switch in our panel wait 10 minutes. If the meter was still turning then something was wrong and our power was being stolen or something - of course they said this in the snootiest voice known to man - and I am an expert in snooty voices.
After 7 minutes we went outside and checked the meter - it was still flying like crazy but the meter that was our neighbors(although it is closer to our house) was at a dead stop. I walked over to their house and their garage light was on so there was no way they could be at a dead stop. Ryan goes back inside and flips the switch to return power and the meter returns to it's slow pace.
They have been reading the wrong meter and sending us the bill - for 2.5 years!!! I have been paying for the idiot neighbors TV to be blaring all night! They replaced their gas hot water tank and furnace with electric - which explains the sudden high bills.
Ry is the calm rational one so he'll be calling to demand a complete audit of our electric since we moved in! I always thought it was strange that the meter closest to our house was the neighbors and not ours - Hydro - you suck!

Health Warning
Most of you have read the scare-mail about the person whose kidneys were stolen while he was passed out. Well, read on. While the kidney story was an urban legend, this one is not. It's happening every day.
My thighs were stolen from me during the night a few years ago. It was just that quick. I went to sleep in my body and woke up with someone else's thighs. The new ones had the texture of cooked oatmeal. Who would have done such a cruel thing to legs that had been mine for years?
Whose thighs were these and what happened to mine? Hurt and angry, I resigned myself to living out my life in jeans and Sheer Energy pantyhose. Then, just when my guard was down, the thieves struck again.
My ass was next. I knew it was the same gang, because they took pains to match my new rear end to the thighs they stuck me with earlier. I couldn't believe that my new ass was attached at least three inches lower than my original. Now, my rear complemented my legs, lump for lump.
Frantic, I prayed that long skirts would stay in fashion.
It was two years ago when I realized my arms had been switched. One morning I was fixing my hair and I watched horrified but fascinated as the flesh of my upper arms swung to and fro with the motion of the hairbrush. This was really getting scary. My body was being replaced one section at a time. How clever and fiendish.
Age? Age had nothing to do with it. Age is supposed to creep up, unnoticed, something like maturity. NO, I was being attacked repeatedly and without warning. In despair, I gave up my T-shirts.
What could they do to me next?
My poor neck suddenly disappeared faster than the Thanksgiving turkey it now resembled. That 's why I decided to tell my story. I can't take on the medical profession by myself. Women of the world wake up and smell the coffee. That really isn't plastic that those surgeons are using.
You KNOW where they are getting those replacement parts, don't you? The next time you suspect someone has had a face "lifted," look again. Was it lifted from you? I think I finally found my thighs - and I hope that Cindy Crawford paid a really good price for them!
This is not a hoax. This is happening to women in every town every night.
WARN YOUR FRIENDS!
P.S. I must say that last year I thought someone had stolen my breasts. I was lying in bed and they were gone! As I jumped out of bed, I was relieved to see that they had just been hiding in my armpits as I slept. Now I keep them hidden in my waistband.

Girls they wanna...wanna have fun girls...
Miss K and I started with a little lunch - fuel for the shop - and a little Starbies(Cinnamon Dolce latte!!)
Then we hit the road in search of shoes - or anything that caught our eye. We decided that Guilford was our best bet - so we got on the freeway - grooving to my ipod.
We got of at 104th and Cyndi Lauper came on - "Dance party at 3:14 in Ej's car!" Yells Kerry - and what so you know it was 3:14! So we did the Bill dance - raise one index finger in the air and twist the wrist! Then we did the Tom dance - raise the index finger in the air and move arm up and down. We named these dances after our fathers - you can tell they are related by the way they dance!
So picture us - in the car - singing and dancing like we are on Broadway - can you picture it! Now add to the picture a guy in a white Ford truck laughing his butt off at us!! Every time we crept forward - Mr. Ford Truck does too! And every time we check he is still laughing!!
Did we stop - NO! We kept that Dance Party going!
Girls they wanna have fun! Yes girls they wanna a have fun!

Blog Nazi
"Michael Keren, who has written "Blogosphere: The New Political Arena," suggests individuals who bare their souls in blogs are isolated and lonely, living in a virtual reality instead of forming real relationships or helping to change the world."
Obviously the article is written by a non-blogger. I am sure there are some people who fit that profile but not many that I have read.
Do you agree with the article or not?
