I love my car - it is getting a bit small for us - as you can't fit a weeks vacation worth of supplies for a toddler in the back - but it's a dream on gas!
Recently I noticed that the automatic locks would sometimes not work - or work so well that I couldn't get out of my car - well I could but I had to manually unlock the door - I can hear your gasps of shock and horror!!
I complained to my hubby about it - he didn't believe me. He just thought I was a bit slow in the head that day and couldn't understand how to hold the handle - and press the lock button. Why when it comes to cars do men suddenly think smart intelligent women have no sense?? As my hubby normally would never suggest that I was dim witted(for fear of death!).
Cut to Saturday - those blasted locks gave me trouble - I had to resort to unlocking and locking my door the old fashion way - by hand.
So I told Ry this - the locks worked on all the doors except the drivers side. Still he did not believe the button was the problem. I have also heard that this is a very expensive repair bill - so regardless of the problem - it won't be getting fixed soon.
Into the car I shove him - lock the door I command from atop my high horse - alas the drivers side door is not locking or unlocking as the others do. He tries over and over again - I guess not quite believing that I could actually be right about something mechanical.
He looks at me and asks "How did you lock the doors today?" I kid you not - he was totally bewildered.
I looked at him as if he was slow..."What do you mean?"
"How, if the door won't lock, did you lock or unlock the door today?" He calmly and slowly states - as if I was, again, a slow witted kid.
I return in tone "With my hand" I proceed to reach over and unlock the door, "or with a key." I put the key in the hole and show him.
He looked shocked and amazed.
I burst out laughing - he couldn't figure out what was so funny.
