Fun Fun

Yesterday was lots of fun - but I woke up before my alarm and then couldn't get back to sleep - four hours of sleep is not enough to make it through the day. Why do I wake up at 4am on days when sleep will already be in short supply but on a normal day - prying my eyes open at 8am is terrible???

I loved regionals - so much cool stuff to learn - esp. for a newbie like me. We also got a few sneak peaks at stuff from the next catalogue. I feel rather inspired now - but I also have a HUGE wish list - I may be broke soon ;-) I will have self control, yes I will have self control!!!

Then I had a 2 hour break - every person I knew in Vancouver was not available(one was even in Abby for the day - go figure). So I booked it over to Pacific Centre - which isn't a very good mall unless you think $90 for a layering tank top is affordable! I am such a cheap person ;-) But I did get a few things at Gap and Crabtree & Evelyn.

Then off to Science World for the Chocolate and wine night(no wine for me - chill out) We met up with Heidi(who I work with) and her hubby, as well as Heidi's brother and his wife. I went to high school with Heidi's brothers- it is rather funny to see everyone grown up. Of course we all reverted to teenagers when in the Body exhibit - I think I'll save that for another entry!!! If you have been to it - think MRI!

Okay - It is almost lunch and I am still in my pj's - I think it is time to get my butt in gear and off the computer.

Facebook - Leah - thanks - I can't wait to have that chicken again, Christina - I've added you now, Family of Five - you just search for their name if you know it - or peruse through a friends list and click on the people you want to add - just send me an email if you want to know my name on Facebook as it is different than blogger.

Facebook

This seems to be the latest trend. Blogger is getting left behind by many. I am getting more addicted to Facebook but I still prefer blogs - of course people need to update them for it to be any fun!!! At first Facebook was boring - but now my cousins and I are all on and we're posting. I also have a few more "friends" so I don't look like a complete loser.

I find it strange though with Facebook - as you have to invite someone to be your friend - no lurking their profile. I have enjoyed "meeting " some of the people through blogger so I'll be staying here - with the occasional foray into Facebook!

Tomorrow I am off to the Stampin Up! Regionals in Vancouver - fun - but I think a rather long day.

Chunky Monkey

I have reached that glorious stage of pregnancy where everything you normally wear is getting too small but maternity clothes are still too big - or they look weird as you aren't big enough. The boobs have taken on a while new size so most of my regular shirts are too short - my pant still all fit though. I'm kinda waiting for it all to just fall out - then I can just switch over to maternity - I have lots of clothes from last time that I love and a bunch of new one. I am not one of those people who hates her maternity clothes - I love them - I have tons too - which helps. I never felt that I wore the same thing everyday when pregnant with J - I hit a huge sale at Target when in Palm Springs - $2.99 shirts etc. So I can't wait to break them out again - of course I was 7 months pregnant when I bought them so chances are they'll be too big until late summer - figures!

Happy Friday

No post yesterday - I was soooooo CRANKY! I sniped at people at work - I even had one girl say she was scared of me! So I decided to spare you of my negativity.

Today - much better(took a bit extra of Thyroid meds as the levels are off but my doctor is being impossible to get in to right now). Don't they know better than to mess with a whacked out thyroid woman??? A little medical history for you all - the thyroid controls your hormones -so when it is off - I am psychotic (usually depressed but this time an anger ball - yelling at everyone!) Of course add to that pregnancy hormones - clear the room people a nut is on the loose!

Today I worked - didn't yell at anyone(good thing as don't want to be fired). Then off to Presto Cucina for dinner(yum yum yum). Tomorrow I may go into Langley for the Army & Navy shoe sale - Heidi says it is the best - never been(not sure Saturday is the best day to brave the crowds!!)

Back in the Saddle, pass the blush

I am attempting to get better at blogging - I don't know if I'll go back to once a day(as that was hard to maintain) but I am going to try and get here more often.

Tonight went to my first Mary Kay party. My friend Heidi just became a rep for them so I volunteered to be there for her tonight. I am looking rather pretty now - although a bit over done for a quiet night at home ;-) It was fun though playing with make-up. I have looked so haggard lately thanks to this human I am growing - it was good reminder that maybe I should put a bit more of an effort in! After all I am a girly girl - pass me the lip gloss people! I hate dresses and skirts but I never leave home without lip gloss- even when I forget to put it on(something about dragging a toddler out the door while weighed down with lunches, diaper bag and a purse!!)

Anyway - time to go to bed - I am tired and when I get tired I feel gross!

Pill Popper

I feel like all I do it time my medication these days. After a really bad weekend I finally caved and asked the midwife for diclectin. Which has made a world of difference. I've now been on it a week and feel like a new person. Expensive little buggers but that is why I work - that wonderful 100% coverage extended health! So every day I have one for breaky, one for mid afternoon, two at bedtime and somewhere in the middle of the night(usually a pee break) I take my thyroid meds. - as they can't be taken with any other meds or food! Ry laughed at me as I plotted out my pill poppin day yesterday!

J-man is getting his 2 year molars I think because he is C-R-A-Z-Y! He whines at a pitch that makes my ears hurt and my patience snap! He pats his jaw(it looks so sad), has had wicked diaper rash and more boogers running down his face than I can possibly keep up with. Luckily he is sleeping like a dream(sorry Jamie).


I don't know if it is spring, pregnancy or what but I feel very restless. Nothing interests me - no books, no TV, not even blogging. I forced myself to read all of my favorites the other day - but I was so tired that I didn't leave comments. I figure in about a year I'll be back to my old self ;-) Sleeping through the night and not so tired! So far Ry has been a saint - even when I get snarky for no reason - I told him he could watch all the playoffs and I wouldn't mutter so much as a peep about the fact that he is glued to the TV 24/7. I figure the guy should get so sort of reward for putting up with me!

Okay enough complaining about poor poor pitiful me,

I love Martina's voice - and the lyrics of this song get my pregnancy hormones all stirred up and I cry - blasted hormones!! Great album too - $10.99 at Costco.

Flip...Flop

It is flip flop season - and I am so excited. Even though it is suppose to rain for the next eon I am going to pounce on the first chance to break out my favorite pair.

LL Bean makes the greatest flip flops ever! Besides being cute the things last forever. I wore mine to camp last year - and if you've ever been to camp you know nothing ever returns the same.

I didn't really mean to wear them at camp but I slipped them on one morning and forgot. They were covered in dust and by the end of the day looked horrible. So I kept wearing them for the rest of the week - figuring that they were a write off and I'd have to buy new ones. When I got home I blasted them with the backyard hose and they came out sparkling(if shoes can do that) The white little lobsters were white again and the pink was pink. Dust, dirt, and camp grime were history. I was very pleased.

So if you need an amazing pair - you know where to look - they have way more styles this year - even some leather ones(I may have to order another pair)

Music Monday Get On The Bus - The Doodlebops

If you have kids you've heard of them! This Friday I had a horrible discovery - my hair has turned into the same 'do' as the pink one! I have Doodlebop hair!

Things heard at the gas station

Tonight we walked over to get me a slushie at the gas station across the street. When we entered the clerk - talking to the other clerk goes "Oh my, the guy at pump #2 is smoking!"

Excuse me???? Who in there right mind smokes anywhere on the property of a gas station let alone standing next to the guy filling the car with gas?

The staff quickly put out the fire so to speak - but this guy is obviously trying to win a Darwin Award. In the words of Ron White "You can't fix stupid!"

Hormones - 1 point!

Not only are pregnant women blessed with the ability to throw up at a moments notice - we also will cry and yell at our husbands for laughing - the hormones win again! Poor Ry!

To all the women who walk through pregnancy without so much as a whiff of being sick, to those who look cute rather than like a puffer fish... I despise you and I loathe your skinny ankles - in fact I think you should have to come clean the toilets that I have looked deep within!!

Okay - hormone surge - sorry! Maybe tomorrow will be better ;-)
